Praise and Worship

It is important to us that we spend time dedicated to praising, worshiping and speaking with, listening to and learning from God. Every Sunday we meet together  to worship God, hear the Word being spoken pray and learn. Typically our services run in a traditional Methodist format, using the Methodist hymn and service books and consist of readings, a sermon and prayers broken up with hymns. We have a wonderful organ at the front of the Church. We understand that there are many ways people worship and connect with God so we also have a variety of other styles running throughout the month in the hope that most people can a find a service that helps them engage, learn and grow.

Here is a snippet of our Organ being played, we hope you enjoy the music.

We also regularly have café services, these are held in our hall, we sit around tables, eat breakfast and participate in the service through hymns, interactive sermons and sometimes games! This service is great for all the family and often enjoyed by our young people who find there is space for fun and laughter during a service. Once a month we have an evening of worship in a more relaxed style, we call this Encounter. It is a time to meet with God as we fellowship with the Holy Spirit and one another through worship songs, prayers and a short message. Encounter uses a more modern style of worship that is led by a vocalist and keyboard player rather than the organ and choir, and uses more contemporary praise and /worship songs.

There are also options specifically for children and young people. On a Sunday morning Junior Church meet in the hall to learn about God and the Bible in ways that engage them, they often join us for the first two hymns before making their way back to the hall to continue in their activities and to worship the Lord in their unique and childlike way. Full of wonder and trust, we can learn so much from them. If you'd like to know more about Junior Church, they have a section in our ministries page. Once a month we also hold Messy Church, seeing up to 50 families from the area join us for an afternoon of fun, creativity and of course a fabulous party tea. Again this is a great opportunity for the young and old to meet God in a way that is relevant and fun, if you'd like to know more please visit their section.
